Dermoscopy
Dermoscopy has proven to be a highly useful non-invasive diagnostic method. The examination of skin lesions with the use of a dermatoscope increases the accuracy in evaluating skin tumours and distinguishing them from benign moles.
Psoriasis
Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin disease that affects 2-3% of the world’s population and is characterised by red scaly spots. Psoriasis patients require a lifelong treatment, with all the psychological consequences that can come from such a condition.
Atopic Dermatitis
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is one of the key topics in EADV events. Several talks will focus on the management of AD, from mild to severe, the new treatment options, as well as the role of the microbiome and treat-to-target in AD.
Sexually transmitted diseases
Among the topics related to sexually transmitted diseases in the upcoming congress we will have: genital ulcers, syphilis re-emergence, urethritis, vaginitis, HPV infections and their treatment, managing PreP and its consequences and, as breaking news lecture, monkeypox outbreak.
Artificial intelligence
Discover the latest findings in and updates in artificial intelligence (AI), with non-invasive diagnosis of skin cancer using new deep learning approaches, the newest smartphone applications, how to best use AI in your office and how AI can help with access to care and misinformation, among others.

Hair disorders 2/2
Hair Disorder topics extensively covered at the EADV congress include hair loss in women, management of chronic folliculitis of the scalp, JAK inhibitors in alopecia areata, diagnostic tools in trichology, management of scarring alopecia and innovative treatments in alopecia.

Hair disorders will be a widely represented topic in the upcoming EADV congress, and talks will focus on, among others, biology of the hair follicle, diagnostic tools in trichology, frontal fibrosing alopecia and new drugs in alopecia areata.
Acne
Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease of the pilosebaceous unit. Its pathophysiology includes hyperseborrhoea, abnormal follicular keratinization and dysbiosis of the microbiome. Among the possible treatments discussed in the sessions, isotretinoin, laser for atrophic scars and the holistic approach to acne will be covered.
Pigmentary disorders
The topic of pigmentary disorders will be vastly explored and will include lectures on, among others, the pathogenesis of hypopigmentation, management of vitiligo, psychological impact of vitiligo, pigmentation induced by visible light and melasma challenges.
Nail Disorders
Nail disorders have always been a key topic in EADV’s scientific programmes, and this year is no exception, with several sessions and lectures dedicated to it, touching aspects such as nutrition, onychosopy, nail psoriasis, onychomycosis, melanoma of the nail and trachyonychia.
Hidradenitis suppurativa
Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) is a chronic, inflammatory skin disease of the terminal follicles in apocrine gland-rich areas. HS has a substantial negative impact on quality of life, and until recently, only few treatments and surgical procedures had the potential to fundamentally change the outlook of patients.
Scientific Programme Overview
The programme includes the full range of session types such as review and updates, a training and educational forum, controversies, free communications, late breaking news, hands-on workshops and, last but not least, a full day of subspecialty sessions on the opening day.
